If (in)difference is a function of consideration, we are in psychological territory here. More appropriately: psychic territory, but not necessarily linked to any logos.
In this way, everything differs from everything else by the consideration it has of itself.
As we stated above, no logos, no reason, no discourse, no articulation of motivations are necessary. What there is is only consideration of itself with itself.
In other words: differentiation (itself) considers.
Therefore, we are in psychic territory, because consideration is a psychic capacity. Let us note: psychic, but not necessarily animic.
We can say that we are redefining the term panpsychism to mean that everything considers everything else.
But consideration itself depends on differentiation – and its dual process, de-differentiation. Therefore, there may be dis-consideration, that is, considerations that do not overcome the threshold necessary for them to begin to consider. We may label them, by analogy, low intensity considerations.
Thus, total consideration – that is, panpsychism – does not mean that everything has a soul – that is, that everything is animic – much less that everything thinks. Nothing like that. It just means that everything takes everything else into consideration. Not every consideration, however, will manifest itself; on the contrary, the consideration in question will have to overcome its thresholds in order to manifest itself, including the threshold of manifestation, which will not always coincide with the threshold of consideration itself.
